Abbie came into our family right after Christmas in 2021 with her best friend, Dixie. The two had lost the only home they had known when their owner passed away, and they needed a second chance — together.

Abbie is timid, shy, sweet, and just a little bit awkward. She may spend a good portion of her day sleeping, but don’t let that fool you. Once she steps outside, our sleepy girl becomes quite the little huntress. Rabbits, groundhogs, and even a possum up a tree have all learned that Abbie takes backyard security very seriously. 😂

Since losing Dixie, Abbie has gotten a little extra love, a few extra treats, and maybe a little extra spoiling. She is still our quiet, gentle girl — but underneath that shy exterior is one brave little dog with a story all her own. 💗
